Premier League Giants Circle Huijsen as Højlund Eyes Juventus Move

Dean Huijsen is poised to be at the center of a Premier League bidding war after Real Madrid opted against pursuing the highly-rated defender. According to The Athletic, the Spanish giants have been deterred by Huijsen’s £50 million release clause, a fee they consider steep for the 19-year-old. The Dutch-born Spain international, who hasn’t ruled out a future move to Madrid, is now expected to stay in England — with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool leading the charge for his signature. Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have also entered talks with his representatives in recent days.

Elsewhere, Rasmus Højlund could be on his way out of Old Trafford following a difficult season in front of goal. With just three Premier League goals to his name, the Danish striker is reportedly open to a move to Juventus, Tuttosport claims. The Serie A giants are considering a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer. The timing could be significant, with Højlund potentially relocating in time for the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford may be back on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar. Although Aston Villa currently hold a transfer option for the Manchester United forward, The Sun reports that his high salary could hinder a permanent move. PSG, long-time admirers of Rashford, are said to have reignited contact via sporting director Luis Campos.

Serie A clubs remain active as Inter Milan aim to outmaneuver rivals for Lille’s Jonathan David by offering a €5 million-per-year contract. David, out of contract this summer, is also being monitored by Arsenal, Juventus, and Barcelona.

Ademola Lookman is another name to watch, with Juventus and Napoli interested in prying him away from Atalanta. The English forward, who has 18 goals and seven assists this season, is expected to cost at least €60 million, with Premier League clubs also keeping close tabs.

As Europe’s top clubs begin their summer maneuvering, the transfer window is shaping up for another intense and unpredictable few months.
